Wind in the Willows Book Cover Mock Up
Two of my agents at the Bright Group asked me to participate in designing a cover from a list of stories. Luckily “The Wind in the Willows” by Kenneth Grahame was on it. I’ve always loved the book as a kid, and I’m now currently re reading it for my portfolio. I’d love to one day get a chance to illustrate the entire book. Maybe one day.

Assignment 6 Being able to Mimic Another Artists Style
For this weeks assignment we had to design a dragon character based off the style of Ronald Searle and Jay Ward. They are two extremely different artists when figuring out characteristics of their work. My instructor gave me some really good feedback so I’ll be going back into these and updating them per his suggestions. Only two more weeks to go!

A Fairy on my Starbucks Lid

While grading I was doodling in my sketchbook, and I started coming up with a version of a inspired Tinker Bell fairy. Hope you enjoy it.
Here is What I’ve Been Up Too . . . Finding Animators!
Here is What I’ve Been Up Too . . . Finding Animators!
Thank you everyone that has been following my posts. It means a lot to me to know that there are people that are interesting in my work.
I’ve been so busy lately that it only seems like I can do a quick sketch here and there. I’ve been really wanting to work on something more polished, but working a full time job in the morning, teaching two nights a week, and working on a personal animated short has kept me pretty busy. But for those of you who dont know I’m currently directing an animated short called “Cauldron Bubbles”. Story and Concept was created as my Graduate Final Project.
If anyone knows of any animators with intermediate to advanced skill level please have them contact me. I have set a deadline to have all shots completed by the end of this Spring semester. My contact info is on the link to the page for the short.
Again thank you all for the kind words and encouragement 😉
Frog Prince Starbucks Lid

Here is another quick sketch I did on a Starbucks lid. This has always been one of my childhood stories. I’ve played with the idea of making the other characters to put in my portfolio. Still having to make those decisions on what I want to work on for my 2013 portfolio. Hope you enjoy 🙂
