$One of my favorite spreads in "It's Not Jack and the Beanstalk". This was the title page. I wanted to establish right from the beginning Jack and Bessie's friendship and to show them in a moment together before the story began. If you look really closely, you can see the silhouette of the Giant's castle in the cloud shadows created by the moonlight. Also, there is a hidden fairy tale character in this spread.
