This illustration was for Colour Collective color Air Force Blue. I recently had a dream about a mini magical whale that lived in a puddle/ pond in the forest near my house. It must of been a funny whale cause I was told I was laughing in my sleep when I was dreaming about my new friend. I really want to focus on making original content, so my new mini whale friend might make future appearances.

Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” Book Cover Design
For this years Holiday Campaign with my agency The Bright Group, they asked a few of us to come up with an illustration or book cover design for the classic Christmas ghost story
Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Ive always love ghost stories, so I was excited to do my piece for the campaign.

“There Was an Old Man with a Beard”
This weeks Colour Collective color was Nougat. I based my illustration off of the Limerick by Edward Lear, “There Was an Old Man with a Beard”.
There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, “It is just as I feared!—
Two Owls and a Hen, four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!”
“The White Hare and the Crocodiles” For this Weeks Colour Collective Leaf Green
Colour Collective Mars Violet
This weeks Colour Collective color was Mars Violet so it reminded me of the color of mud. Then I remembered a lesser known fairy tale called “The Pig Brother”. Story goes since the little boy kept his room dirty, the fairy told him to go find his brother, while she fixed his room. He talks to a squirrel, a wren, and a cat asking if they were his brothers. They deny they are his brothers because they are clean. Along comes a pig, which the boy tries to avoid asking the question to, and the pig tells him that they are brothers. The fairy shows up and asks if the little boy would like to live like his brother the pig. The little boy says no, so he makes a deal with the fairy to keep his room clean and he wont live with his brother the pig.
Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf
This weeks Colour Collective color was Pale Geranium Lake Red. So I decided to use an old character design of Little Red Riding Hood from a past “Shape of the Week”. Here shes being stopped by the Wolf while on her journey to her Grandmother’s house.
Follow The Yellow Brick Road
This weeks Colour Collective color was dandelion yellow. I decided to go back to the OZ theme, so I had to use it for the yellow brick road. Who knows if future colors will bring me back to exploring Dorothy and Toto in OZ.
