I remember learning about the Monkey King when I was Sesame Street age when the movie “Big Bird Goes to China” would play on the Disney Channel. Here is my interpretation of this interesting character.

Gremlins
So today’s Sketch Dailies topic was Gremlins. I decided I wanted to show the Mogwai as well. I loved this movie when I was a little kid. I cant believe that I wasn’t afraid of the Gremlins. I used to carry a small Gizmo doll that squeaked when you shook it (sounds awful now that I think of it) lol. But for today’s sketch I wanted to show the metamorphosis of a Mogwai to Gremlin.
Hercules in the Den of Nine Headed Lernaean Hydra
This one totally was a surprised piece. I had come up with some initial sketches, but nothing seemed right. Then I decided to go ahead and color the last drawing in and it kind of came together during the painting process. Which by the way is not the best way to come up with a piece. But in this rare occasion it did. Hope you enjoy it 🙂
