Decided to re-explore these past Vintage Cover Reimagined prompts in my style. The first one was a Little Golden Book called “The Road to Oz” and the second is “Peter Pan” adapted by Pheobe Wilson, originally illustrated by Ruth Wood.

Been chipping away at this piece for a couple weeks in between personal stuff, freelance, and work. Here’s my mock cover art for one of my favorite scary books as a kid, Alvin Schwartz’s ” In A Dark, Dark Room & Other Scary Stories.” Its a book that is on the banned book list. I remember in elementary school, every year for Halloween I’d check this book out. I loved it so much. Still do even as an adult. Hope one day to get to illustrate a scary book or Halloween themed book.

Been participating with these Draw This in Your Style challenges with one of my favorite illustrators, Rhode Montijo. He’s known for his vintage illustration style and also our shared love of Halloween and the Fall season. Here are a few illustrations I’ve done for this challenge the last several weeks leading to Halloween.

With the recent news of Disney Plus bring back the 90s X-Men show, I thought it would be fun to work on the rest of my 90s X-Men Fan Art. So here is Jean Grey.
When I was a kid, X-Men was my favorite tv show. I’d wake up early every Saturday morning to record every episode on VHS tapes. When I got older, I had those VHS tapes converted to DVDs. They even have the original commercials. lol
This show awakened my love for comic books and even my desire to become an artist. So I’m excited that Disney will be bringing this group of X-Men for a whole new generation to meet.

Ho Ho Moooooooo. . .erry early Christmas! lol “Hey! You’re NOT Santa!” (Scholastic) by Ethan T Berlin and illustrated by myself will debut on September 7th, 2021.
