So in my attempts to finish my Spellbook pages, I’ve created my version of a Ware Ware wolf for the corresponding spell. I’ve actually have two drawings, but I think this one will fit better with the other character drawings.

Here’s another one for you!

Well here is the next character sketch for my Spellbook. It is titled “How to Capture a Mermaid”. This one was interesting. I was just doodling at work on a scrap piece of paper. I was actually working on another idea I had for another “Misadventure” illustration when she appeared. I first thought about one of my favorite Hollywood actresses Michelle Pfieffer when I started drawing out the face. Then this pose started to look a bit vulnerable, and I decided it would be perfect for my mermaid concept for the Spellbook. Voila! I hope you enjoy it. I’ll be posting my Werewolf concept for the other Spellbook page in a few days.
Spellbook resumes
I’m back at it again.
Since I’ve been so busy with my animation and doodling, Jamey told me one day that I really needed to get back to finishing up the spellbook. During this time away from it, I’ve learned so much about using Photoshop for drawing, I’ve also started gathering more information from other illustrators about their work methods both digital and traditional. I have so much admiration for those people and the quality of work that I strive to someday reach. Such inspiration has allowed me to move further into completing the next 7-8 pages left in the book. I’ve got quite a bit done, but I still have some ways to go. So here is the latest one called “Medusa’s Stare of Stone”. Hope you enjoy it.

Recently our cat Ninja passed away. Jamey probably took it the hardest since he’s had Ninja since he was in high school. But the fourteen years that I got to spend with this wonderful creature I would never change. Ninja will always be a part of us. So to cheer up Jamey I made him this drawing of them as characters similar to Samurai and I. Who knows, maybe Jamey and Ninja might join along in a future misadventure or two . . .
